Jordan Luck & Don McGlashan for LDO
A confirmed supporter of the project is Jordan Luck, who’ll be belting out hits for his third successive LDO festival in an effort to raise money for the project.
As the country’s first inductee into the NZ Music Hall of Fame, he’s conscious of the value of such public spaces.
“Westmere kids and the community desperately need a place they can call their own.
I remember school assemblies being a huge amount of fun and a vital place for young ones to try their hand at the performing arts.
I challenge my mates to join in and give a bit of their time for the next generation.”
Jordan’s new video for “Here They Come, There They Go” is here (Quicktime Version ) or below if you prefer it as an embedded video.
Other performers already booked are Don McGlashan, as well as high school band AD/BC which includes Don’s son Louis.
Don is recognised as one of New Zealand’s foremost songwriters, artists and performers with five entries in APRA New Zealand’s Top 100 Songs Of All Time.
His career spans from the seminal post-pop-punk band Blam Blam Blam, to art experimentalists The Front Lawn, to platinum selling and internationally recognised popular band The Mutton Birds.
With his new band The Seven Sisters, McGlashan performs songs from his first solo album Warm Hand, favourites from The Mutton Birds and the Front Lawn, and some classics in the making from the new album. More information about Don is available on the Arch Hill website here.
Big Day Out production manager turned Little Day Out volunteer, Robbie Barclay has more acts to be confirmed.
